Christians, Jews, and those who believe in traditional marriage should do an end around.

The progressive left are the masters of destroying traditions, conservative culture, the definition of words, etc.
It will never happen but wouldn’t it be something to behold if millions of Americans who believe in traditional marriage, historically rooted in Judeo/Christian ceremony and culture, renamed the marriage ceremony to make it exclusively a ceremony of a religious nature?
The gays wanted the word marriage rather than Rainbow Union so I say give them the word marriage.
People who are joined in a religious ceremony can call it God’s Blessing or whatever the majority agree upon.
I understand it will likely never happen but 50 years ago most would have said gay marriage would never happen either. I just think it would be amazing to give the progressive leftists some of their own medicine…..and watch the nuclear meltdown.

I won't refer to a gheys partner as their husband/wife/spouse. Still say partner. If they get mad then its no sweat off my back, as I couldn't care less about them being in my life. Thank you! You’re helping me make my point. Gay marriages are not performed in churches that adhere and pay reverence to scripture…..every devout Christian understands same sex marriage doesn’t show honor nor does it glorify our Creator.

Agreed…..but that wasn’t why gay people fought for the word marriage for their civil Union. Gay couples could have had legal protection just like heterosexual marriage 30 years ago but they needed their Union to be called marriage to gain societal affirmation and acceptance.

TruthSpeaker? Should polygamy be legal? How about marriage between brother and sister? Maybe father and daughter? How about a 32 year old and a 14 year old. Certainly an uncle and his niece should be acceptable….right?
I know what you’re thinking TruthSpeaker, what’s gay marriage have to do with all the examples I typed? You think about it, because it’s very likely in the next 20-30 years if not sooner much of what I posited will be reality if society continues on its current trajectory.

What’s your point? Comparing slavery to gay marriage…..you are stretching it to infinity. Right now it’s illegal for biological brothers and sisters to marry, should that be legal? How about father and daughter? Aunt and nephew, two husbands and eight wives, the middle age man and the 14 year old girl? Maybe we should allow children to remove their body parts without parental consent….oh wait, hasn’t that all ready happened?
