Check out the Mansfield area. Great for families and still growing. Great school district as well. Not far from Dallas or Fort Worth.

Eta: only if you want to start a family soon. If not, uptown Dallas ftw

Not sure what your financial situation is, but Knox area is also great for young couples. Lots of restaurants and next to Katy Trail. Tons of nice new apartments

We rented in the M streets for 4 years. Great spot for commuting and close to everything you could need.

It’s in between Irving and dallas, commute isn’t an issue because I work a hybrid role, so if it is a little further away and a better spot I wouldn’t mind

Dallas and Irving are next to each other?

There are a zillion apartments <10 years old around Lake Carolyn in Las Colinas (where the Mustangs statue is). It is also on the train line.

I don't know much about young people stuff but a lot of them live there.

At your age, find out where you’ll most likely settle & find some land to purchase. They don’t make it anymore. As far as places in Dallas idk but good luck.

My son who has saved every dollar he’s ever made & is 18 is about to buy 3 acres, cash. It’s one of the greatest investments you can make.

Since you're working in Irving, an area I use to lease apartments in is Las Colinas. I also have accounts out there and its in the middle of everything and has a huge under 35 population.

They have some nice apartments in the Canals at Los Colinas next to Toyota Music Factory. Great restaurants, running trails, dog parks, etc.

Fine arse women everywhere, too.

Depends on your budget and if you are buying or renting.

20 something without kids then Uptown, Knox Henderson, Greenville area is your best bet for Dallas.

If you don’t want to be in as happening of an area then North Dallas near Belt Line and the DNT gets you super central. You would be a 15 minute drive to most desirable places to go (while having great mix of restaurants at your back door).

You should rent for a couple of years to figure things out prior to buying.

I enjoyed Addison but I have not been back there in almost a decade.

That quaint area by the lake looks to have so much potential but a good amount of the retail space is usually vacant with for lease signs everywhere.

Seems like around the Omni hotel and with all those apartments and condos, there would be a burgeoning retail and restaurant scene but that’s not the case for some reason.

Damn. Finally found a username that’s aging about as poorly as mine. Mine was a direct rebuttal to a douche on the SEC Rant named wildrebeltime in reference to Nutt’s offense, while mine was a direct reference to Bobby Petrino’s.

Just moved from DFW area (after 33 years). If you are looking for neighbors similar to yourself, nightlife closeby, pubs etc. then look at the village as mentioned earlier. There are a lot of local pubs, restaurants etc. in that area and is mostly mid 20s crowd, both married and single.

If you are looking for suburbs then I would recommend Frisco. They have Cowboys, Minor League Baseball, Minor League Hockey, Professional Soccer, lots of local pubs, restaurants, shopping etc.
