re: M60 machine gun

In 1992 at SOI in Camp Pendleton I watched a Staff Sgt instructor one evening use trigger control and short belts to fire single shot and consistently hit B-mod targets at ~300m firing offhand. This was the E3 version with the vertical handgrip on the gas tube. The worst thing about the M60 is that the trigger group retaining pin is held by a 3 cent sheet metal clip that tended to fall off on humps.
