Cooperstown, NY at the Field of Dreams or Atlanta. The parents overwhelmingly voted GA b/c of New York's vaccine requirements.

b/c his Bucktown area parents don't want to be inconvenienced for a weekend.

Do you know what the current requirements are? Last I heard, they were requiring anyone 12 and over to be vaccinated to register to play. If it's a 12U league, I am sure there are a ton of 12 y/o on the team. Is it really as simple as a minor inconvenience if the ballpark is still requiring a lot of the players to get updated COVID vaccines (and possibly boosters) to play and parents don't want their 12-13 year-old kids to be vaccinated?

Funny, we got the invite there when I was 13. Our parents decided we could not afford the trip as team so the 2nd place team from state went up there and won the whole thing.. ole chalmette schockers. I remember seeing them on the news when their plane landed and being pissed off.

How many different world series are there? If they have a choice of playing in tournaments in 2 different states, is it really a world series? And are there foreign teams involved also? At some point, just call it what it is. It's one of many youth baseball/softball tournaments that you pay to play in.

I get downvoted, and that's ok, but I'm serious. Do the winners of these 2 "world series" tournaments play each other to figure out an actual champion? And then do the other dozens of world series champions compete against each other?

Lakeshore had the team's vote months ago. Guess you need to let the organization know ahead of time.

Well you’re fricking retarded.

It’s NY’s fault, not the parents.

The fact that your initial thought was to blame the parents and not the government of NY tells me all I need to know about you. And you have never and will never have an opinion or thought that is worth taking seriously and you will never contribute to society in any way, shape or form.

So I'm curious. You said this is a Lakeshore team, so rec ball. Why did that other Jeff Parish team that won the Little League World Series a few years back play in PA at the official Little League World Series? Apparently this playground team is Dixie Youth. How is that determined? Little League seems like a more prestigious event.

Normal names on this team like Charlie, Jack, David, Jacob etc.

This is rec ball btw. Jefferson Parish. It's not a pay to play tournament. They had to advance there through several tournaments
