You people know I fricking hate the Stars. This has been going on for over 20 years
I'd rather the Avs lose to any other team dammit

But I always try to see the game for what it is. Refs did a great job up until the blown call so I knew it was coming. Just wish they would have called that a goal so I could get an hour of sleep back.

And nobody can take away that I saw the Avs win the Cup in person in 2022 so I can milk that for a few more years at least.

I'm still living off the Stars winning it 25 years ago.

Just reading back through this, the entitlement is overwhelming. Can't say I'm surprised though

Wow

I would disagree but it's fine. Good series.

I'm still going to try and watch all the games

But I'm going to root for anybody but the Stars to win - go Canucks or Panthers haha. Rangers/Oilers are fine too.

I do appreciate the time Matt Duchene put in for those god awful shitty Avs teams

And he is speaking pure truth in this post game - the longer this went on the more it favored Dallas which showed

I’m late to the party but the Stars are a fun team to watch and root for.

I’ve never gotten a bad impression being around their fans. They are very tight knit organization and I’m very happy for them. They have a lot of older vets that have never won a cup, including the coach.

They dominated this series and blew a 3-0 lead in the 1st game. I read that they led in 96% of the minutes in regulation.

Just take the L and move on. The Stars were the better team

I’m not a Stars fan at all, but I’ll tell you… that team was good last year, and is better this year.

I think they are going to be a problem for a long time. And that’s a compliment. They have good young talent in abundance and they play well together in all phases.

I would not be surprised to see them win the Stanley Cup this year. That being said… it’s not a given. We could be in for a really solid Finals.

Absolutely true, especially given that Dallas won that game twice and it’s undeniably true.

I’m not so sure where the Avalanche hate came in earlier in the thread as it seems most Avs fans in here are pretty reasonable, even dating back to the Cup run.

Dallas deserved to win that series without the doubt a Game 7 naturally brings. Clearly the better team, DeBoer clearly outcoached Bednar, and the only Avalanche player I feel bad for is (shockingly) Georgiev. Quite literally the only one to show up for 6 games despite the guys in front failing him so so so many times.

EDIT: like calling the Avs dirty. Not a single player on the team has that reputation, nor are they known as some crazy physical team to warrant that

great series.

I guess Matt Duchene isn’t a complete loser, after all

Still is, that goal was nothing more than puck luck. The sad thing, overall, is that shouldn’t have been the game/series winner as that first one a good goal.

That's the anomaly I think. Hundreds of posts ITT and no one really trolls or disrespects the opposition. It's been good banter until the final 2 pages

The MSB series threads are the best on TD overall. Kind of a gentleman's agreement.

Hey, Avs fan here. Congratulations. The better team won . The Avs, down Landeskog and Nichushkin and Toews and others just don’t have a Cup identity the last couple of years. They have to hit with a young guy and have some real energy come into the bottom six to play with a Team like Dallas which has fewer holes that is more Cup hungry . But everything said and done a series win and a 6 game loss to a team as good as the Dallas is a good showing and makes me optimistic for next year.

It was a superb series.
A West and even potential Cup series match. Either could face the East and give them Hell.
