Texas passed some new brewery laws a few years ago and modeled them on Oregon and Colorado laws that allow Brewpubs, which is a different classification in Texas from Breweries, to self distribute.

That is what most craft breweries are doing in Texas. And for the breweries like Deep Ellum that are closing, there are several small brewpubs w/ restaurants opening. In the last year there are 3 that have opened in the gene...

There is an area north of downtown called Paseo Arts District which is a cool little area with spanish architecture and has a few good restaurants. Fridas is southwestern (New Mexicoish) , Picasso is farm to table, Paseo Grill is upscale american, Punk Burger and Sauced (pizza)....

They are known as Dino-bore Jr for their live shows. I love their albums but they aren't a good live band. I've seen them 3 or 4 times including back in the early 90s and its always been a disappointment....

I ran track and cross country in college so was putting in a lot of quality mileage. I was 6'-0" and 130 lbs, all legs and lungs....
