Saving Private Ryan and The Dark Knight have already been mentioned. I like the opening to Mad Max: Fury Road a lot.

Tombstone was pretty good, but I don’t think it beats SPR or Gladiator.

Of course not as good as many listed, but Scream, the Barrymore scene was pretty damn good.

For a comedy, I always loved the opening scene to Super Troopers.

To Kill A Mockingbird... opening credits scene with that old fashioned wooden box exposing all the little things a child would collect, while that beautiful opening score is playing.
It's amazing how emotional that scene is, without a word spoken. If you can't recall it, turn all of the outside noise off and find it on YouTube and enjoy.

Reservoir Dogs, which gifted us one of the most popular memes of all time.

Tarantino already represented three times in this thread, very strong. Actor Christopher Waltz three times..

inglorious Basterds is the best intro I’ve ever seen. The can still remember sitting in the theater thinking to myself “This scene is perfect” right around the time you start realizing the jig is up

This post reminded me of one of my favorite final scenes: Rogue 1. First time you ever really saw Vader wreck shite. He was so stiff in those original movies.

2001: A Space Odyssey opening scene really set the tone for the movie.
