They don’t play small ball at all. Every one of them I watched hit was trying to hit it out of the park. Not how you win in playoffs.

Did Philly play small ball?

Hitting it out of the park was exactly how the Phils won.

Don’t get greedy. It’s real fricking hard to win the World Series and we just won it in 2021 and we’re built for the long run.

The Braves beat the Phillies 4 out of 7 in September. What about that said the Braves would lose?
Pitching wasn’t the problem for the Braves.

It’s not the hitting it out of the park. It’s the quality of the at bats. The Phillies grinded 1-9. Tough at bats all down the lineup. The Braves didn’t. Sorry arse at bats all series.

Agreed 100%. Small ball also means scoring on a passed ball and getting a run in with 1st and 3rd and nobody out in the 9th. You do that, it’s 3-3 and who knows where it goes? Back end of the lineup were auto outs with non competitive AB’s. Props to Philly because other than the rookie CF, the rest of the team always seemed threatening

Speaking of choke, wasn’t it your old Manager Bobby Cox that used to beat his wife?

Phillies were swinging for the fences also, but they connected. Braves are just a sorry franchise.

Unfortunately people believe walking into MLB playoffs is the same as the regular season. It’s not. It’s an entire different animal starting from scratch.

Don’t get carried away. The Braves are one of the best run clubs in baseball. You win some, you lose some, and you move on.

Through the first 21 postseason games, the team that has outhomered its opponent is 13-1 (with seven games in which both teams hit the same number of home runs)
