So if you’re looking purely at the numbers, New Orleans has a significantly higher population than most other cities in the state so it would make sense that in number only, more people get SNAP in Orleans than say Lafourche parish
If you look at percent of the population that receives food stamps in a given parish, Orleans is at around 10%
Your beloved Calcasieu is at 6%.
East Carroll is at 14%
Caddo is at right under 11%
Lafayette is at right under 7%
EBR is at 8%
Ouachita is at 10%
But yes, you totally beat me down and proved that rural red shite towns do in fact receive more food stamps than blue cities in Louisiana. How will I ever recover from being correct…

Do you have a link to these accurate numbers or are you just guesstimating based on the colors of the map?
I frankly don't see how you could distinguish 7% from 8% on that map.

I’m shamed to say I spent several minutes calculating these percentages based on last year’s DCFS SNAP participation report by Parish and basic google searches about the population of a given Parish in 2022. They are rounded. For example if the population of a place is 201,679 and their SNAP participation is 23,396 I divided 23 by 201 because it’s not that serious.

Also I'm guessing these races were not rigged according to the board? Right?
Has there been accusations?
Why whine about it? We KNOW 2020 was stolen from DJT, and you know it too.

OK then you still say this:
Correct me if I am wrong but the 10% in Orleans, 11% in Caddo, 8% in EBR, and 14% in East Carrol are all blue areas and higher than the red areas of Lafayette and Calcasieu. Oucihita isn't really surprising as it is in an economically dreadful area of the state and probably more purple than red so it being at 10% isn't that surprising.
You stll didn't prove that...

The whole state is economically dreadful. We could all get food stamps if that’s the criteria.
I got tired of doing the calculations so I didn’t add more parishes to the original list. But it would make much more sense to use a recent election to determine the red vs blue parishes. This is from the governor election:

We need to snuff out a couple of RINOs - GGraves and Cassidy at top of the list. Hope they get primary’d

Can a homeowner become a volunteer fireman or reserve cop and not pay property taxes?
I don't know but if someone breaks into my house or a fire starts, I am the first to respond--guess that makes me a first responder. How do I notify the assessor's office to waive my property taxes.

The Kraken remains under lock and key... kind of a metaphor for Donald J Trump in 2024
