Around that same time "The Byrds" played Meridian MS. I think this was the touring group operated by drummer Michael Clarke, which the other original members sued over.
And yes, it did occur to me that Clarke's Byrds might have played Meridian bc that was CE's hometown. But I have no way of knowing for sure.
Parsons allegedly campaigned to dump CE from tFBB bc he was "white trash".
After all, Gram was a Hahvahd man...
