AI makes me a sucker all the time with serving up ads to me on social media like Facebook and I buy stuff all the time I see on there. Last thing was my nieces Xmas presents which are these cool blow up beds for kids shaped like princess castles. Never would have found them otherwise and they were available through Amazon so I got them.

TV commercials not so much anymore because I either watch on streaming services with no commercials or DVR. during the day when working from home I have it on business news and the ones they serve up, I'm not really paying attention too, it's just background noise.

I haven’t found one yet, but as soon as I spot it in a store, I’m buying a Reese’s Cup with caramel.

I wanted to eat a chocolate frosty after watching a Wendy’s commercial. Pulled up to the Wendy’s drive thru and Ronald McDonald was fricking Wendy up the arse. Turns out the machine was broke.

Recently, I saw a flash offer on Facebook for something called the Edge Wallet for only 9.99 each with an Airtag Pocket. So I bought 3 for Christmas presents, a few days pass and I finally check their shipping information, and see that they can take up to a week before it ships. Then I finally get tracking, it is in China. Then a few hours later I get 2 emails describing a a fire incident at their warehouse and they are not going to be able to meet any Christmas delivery expectations.

Should I cancel for possibly being scammed?

Most likely. I bought what appeared to be a killer flashlight of a billion lumens that would light up a city block in their ad.
A few weeks later I get some piece of junk in the mail. Emailed China and told them I didn't receive what I ordered.
They kept insisting it was the same light. Total BS.
They wanted me to send it back for a refund.
Frickem'. I reversed the charge on my card and kept it.
Never heard from them again.

On another note, why do some companies even have commercials when they don't need them? Like coke, all mainstream beers, McDonald's, etc. Do their commercials really lead to extra sales?

Remarkable. And it's been wonders for my meeting notes. I write the notes and send copies of the notes without typing and I can send drawings

I mean Geico’s commercials are relatively funny. I have progressive though. Slightly less funny but still gives me a chuckle here and there
