Bumping this thread. Been on carnivore since January 2. Haven’t sh!t solid since then, but am losing weight. Would love to know what to change to poop regular again.

Just stay with it. You wont ever get to fiber filled poop again but youll eventually get to soft serve consistency.

After flirting with various keto/carnivore type diets in the past, I've found that the health benefits people get from it are mainly from fixing their metabolism and cutting into that insulin resistance they built up by eating a carb heavy diet and being sedentary. Lower the carbs, increase protein and healthy fat, stick to a certain calorie level depending on goals.

I'm actually wondering, you do realize he lost weight because he was likely in a deficit?

This is key. Any diet be it carnivore, keto, vegan, greatly limits what you're able to consume so you're already limiting calories based on that alone. It's really just about finding what deficit you can sustain for the amount of time to reach your weight loss goals. For some that might be keto or vegan etc.

Dude is a grifter. The compounds he talks about in vegetables can also be found in meats. He bases videos off of peoples comments and experiences and not human randomized control trials. Then he says absolutely no processed foods, yet wants to push his brand of organs....processed into a pill.

Yes but what the carnivore diet does well is regulate your appetite so that you can drop the extra lbs without being hungry. Its actually difficult to consume too many calories on carnivore.

Are things like alliums allowed on it?

For instance if I wanted some onions with some ground beef would that be no longer carnivore?

I guess not but the calories would be so minuscule that I seriously doubt it would be any less effective. It might could trigger a carb craving or some kind of inflammation if someone had that food allergy. Probably something someone would just have to test out.
