Some of those are great, and some are not. But I wish they didn't have to name them...some of the names are cringey.

Several years ago a good friend of mine was on the panel for National Geographic's best wildlife photograph of the year. As part of the deal, any potential finalist had to submit the original digital file to see if it was shopped. It was ok to crop or adjust for light and contrast, but they couldn't merge images or remove or add content. She said they had to disqualify entire slates of potential finalists because of the manipulation.
Ultimately they did find amazing images. The amount of work and time required to photograph wildlife at a high level is staggering.
