They a 1a program that can hand pick the people they want.
I only had seven select schools in my last Top 25 and three were No. 17-25. The No. 1 team right now IMO is a public school.

Chuckie
Just an FYI, they didn’t handpick Kori. As an 8th Grader last year she led her White Castle team to the playoffs with averages of 21pts, 10rebs, 7assts and 5 steals per game and garnering 2nd Team All State as an 8TH GRADER.
The decision was made by her father to enroll her at Southern Lab for her to play better competition and challenge her both academically and athletically.
And it has been well worth it. Kori is playing her role on this team and that is as a defensive stalwart. I would venture to say her role will increase as time goes on.
Coach Chaney was absolutely SHOCKED when she found out Kori was going to play for her. And she is easing her and not rushing her to get acclimated to her new teammates. But one thing she knows is Kori can guard anybody at the PG/SG or SF position and it doesn’t matter what level of high school ball the opponent is playing.
