This is where Jesus and I will ALWAYS differ greatly...

I won't wash another man's feet. Period. No matter how much I respect them. You can wash your own damn feet.

But yeah, those JGU commercials have always been misleading, secular and disingenuous. The ones I've seen previously (been a while) all portrayed Jesus as if He'd have been walking among the anqueefers and BLM rioters participating in arson and destruction. Jesus flipped a table to make a point... but He didn't loot and then burn down a Target because he hates white people.

Jesus walked among sinners, yes. Not just because all men are sinners, but because He was the Shepherd steering them towards the light. He didn't walk amongst them to participate in their lifestyle, but to show them another life.

I can assure you that you and Jesus differ in many more ways than just this...

Jesus hated sin, rejected the sinful lifestyle, and mentions Hell more times than he mentioned heaven.

He did indeed hate sin, but the overwhelming majority of the times he mentioned hell were directed to the religious leaders who used legalism and the law as a human barrier to God and who's burdensome yoke caused others to sin and be left out. Why do you think you are any different from the pharisees who called Jesus blasphemous and heretical?

Impossible! No one in history has ever been as persecuted as the modern white Christian man.

Sadly, this is all to be expected.

Matthew 24:24

For false Christs and false prophets will arise and will show great signs and wonders, so as to mislead, if possible, even the elect.

1 Timothy 4:1

But the Spirit explicitly says that in later times some will fall away from the faith, paying attention to deceitful spirits and doctrines of demons,

2 Timothy 4:3-4
For the time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine; but wanting to have their ears tickled, they will accumulate for themselves teachers in accordance to their own desires, and will turn away their ears from the truth and will turn aside to myths.

Before, but he says in the same Chapter where he washes his disciples feet (John 13) that he’s going to be betrayed by someone and that Peter will deny him 3 times so it’s not like he didn’t know what was coming.

I think what most people are getting at is that Christianity is the only religion allowed to openly mock and despise.

Persecution of Christians happens today. They're murdered for their religion. So are other religions as well.

I knew you would reply this way. I could see it coming.

Jesus washed the feet of His disciples, his followers, to example behavior of a servant leader.

Exactly.

Not only is it accepted, it is encouraged.

He ate with sinners, but not to appear "inclusive" and "tolerant," but to call them to a changed and fruitful life in Him.

Jesus calls for transformation of life. Not affirmation of sinful identity

And that's the lost message in these stupid commercials.

They portray feet washing as some sort of "I'm ok with everything" message.

I mean, it’s not ideal, but in the Sermon on the Mount Jesus also says to rejoice and be glad because your reward is in Heaven, not on earth.
