Those are bark scorpions I believe they are called. I had one in my house the other day on top of the bedspread in my guest bedroom. Thought it was dead and almost decided to pick it up. Glad I didn't because it came to life real quick. We've had a few of them in the house. This was the first live one.

We have them around our property. I came across probably 10 of them when I was cleaning up a rock pile the previous owner left for us. I'm about to have to blast the perimeter of my house with Bifen or something and treat the inside of the house as well.

We kill several, small brown scorpions in our house each year. Northwest Louisiana. Lots of trees around. I'm told scorpions glow at night under a black light flashlight.

Shite, both of my kids got stung by these tiny little wasps that were everywhere at Dollywood almost two summers ago.

I would have loved to hear the scream and see the reaction when he saw that in his drawers.

A bit overdramatic, I have been stung twice by those shits and yes it hurts, but not the worst pain in life.

It’s basically a wasp sting

Bark scorpions are worse than your average wasp sting. Pain lingers longer too.

Only time I ever saw my mom cry with pain is from a scorpion. I’ve had a fear of them since. She was tough.

The picture looks like an Arizona Bark Scorpion. That's the most venomous scorpion in North America. We have the striped bark scorpion in Arkansas, I've been stung several times. Kind of like a yellow jacket sting. The Arizona Bark Scorpion has a more potent sting. It would be pretty close to A Velvet Ant sting.

As far as this dude, he can pretty much forget a lawsuit once he accepted the free room. He has accepted compensation.

Wrong. Just because you slept in a Holiday Inn last night does not make you an expert on personal injury law.

Did he execute a release? Was there an agreement that this would settle any claims he might present?

This was not in America so I don't know if that makes a difference in terms of the species.

Well, now I'm going to have to figure out which variety I have around my property. Not that i'm going to intentionally get close to either one, but I don't recall seeing a stripe on the ones I've killed. They were solid I'm pretty sure. I'm in Weatherford Texas for what its worth.
