I don’t know. This is uncharted territory.

My best guess is yes.

I hope to see this blatantly partisan judge take it to that level though.

They would do house arrest. They aren’t putting him in an actual jail.

first off you can't have weapons in a jail. Trump is required to have 24/7 armed security. most county jails are full of the most rampant degenerate criminals awaiting trial.

so no Trump will never step foot in a jail.

Theoretically yes, but if Trump is “arrested” I think they’ll simply confine him to Trump Tower. If Trump were to be convicted of a major crime that called for prison, I think they’d either imprison him at Camp David or Mar-A-Lago.

He would make hundreds of millions in campaign contributions, he will endear himself further to the American electorate, and he will unequivocally beat the very deserved political prisoner drum.

These sham trials are ridiculous but there's counter-strategy ops available if they Dems would like.

Yes. Secret service is in charge of his security for life. They would have a private jail/wing/compound. He would never be allowed to walk in a “real” prison.

I would bet if a former president committed a real crime that deserved prison, they would build a separate building on an army base or other secure property. I remember an interview with a mafia rat who was housed at an FBI training facility before his trial. They had an entire building ready for such an occasion.

The judge knows damn well he can’t jail him due to the conundrum and the logistics. This is all about fawkin with the election.
