no, bc him and Zion just clearly don't fit together.... i'd rather build around the guy who clearly gives a shite, and finally looks like the leader we need him to be...

Holy short attention span, Batman.

Look at that Jrue trade now. It did nothign to make us better, and no we didn't need it to get CJ. There is no point in trading BI for role players and more picks that we don't really need. You can see he obviously has a lot more value than most of you thought, and we shoudl be using it to upgrade our #1 perimeter scorer position.

If that last pick doesn’t hit big, the Jrue trade was a total disaster by Griff. He basically traded 2 of the three firsts we got for Steven Adams and Devontae Graham.

We owed Charlotte a first for that retarded Griff trade so that’s why the Blaxers get the Bucks pick. Think about that next time someone wants to defend Griff.

think we were kind of seeing it before he got hurt. But when he came back not so much.

I agree with the first part of your statement. Who was he supposed to defer to when Zion got hurt??

I will say this, BI seems like he really does still want to be here. I don’t think he fits well enough with Zion, but still, it sucks to ship out a guy who wants to be here

Brandon Ingram at 25-26, played in 109 games

ORTG: 114, DRTG 114
PER 18.6, WS/48 0.113, OBPM +1.7, DBPM -0.3, BPM +1.4, VORP 3.1

Dejounte Murray at 25-26, played in 142 games
20.8 PPG, 6.7 RPG, 7.6 APG, 2.4 TOV, 1.8 PG, 0.3 BPG
Shooting: 46.3/33.6/81.0
ORTG: 113, DRTG 118
PER 17.4, WS/48 0.084, OBPM +1.7, DBPM -0.3, BPM +1.4, VORP 4.7
Signed: 4/118mil last year when going into his 27YO season. If he gets traded, the # balloons up to >40mil.

These are comparable tier 2 players IMHO. one scores better, the other facilitates better. both are comparable defensively with a slight edge to murray.

Sounds like 2/80mil is what we should offer at most.

Well I can guarantee you that’s not happening.
He’s getting a 4 year extension worth at least $190M from someone.

I’m not opposed to keeping him at that if we can’t get an ideal trade. But I’d prefer we make a trade.
I want something better than Murray, but I wouldn’t be disappointed at all if that’s who we got as the main piece back for BI, well, Murray and Okungwu.

If he gets traded I believe it's somewhere around 4/131, because of the 15% trade kicker.

But he can waive the kicker if he wants to facilitate the trade.

AD did this on the Laker trade under the auspices of attempting to get a third max guy like Kawhi signed.

Trade kickers are paid by the team trading him, it doesn’t really effect the reciving team

It affects their cap space, hence AD waiving his as mentioned in my post.

I could be misremembering this, but I thought that it was a big deal whenever Davis waived his kicker because it was going to count against the Lakers cap in a way that prevented them from offering a max to Kawhi?
