I think Sheppard has the skill set to become more than a tertiary guy though. I think Day 1 he has an impact but he’s got the handles, the shooting and the killer first step where he routinely beats guys on the drive. He could probably improve his passing. But he’s easily the prospect I would want if we got a top pick + a good center in the trade because I think Shepp would come in and give you solid bench minutes right off and potentially push CJ to 6th man….as a best case scenario.

He’s got the potential to be an even better shooter than CJ and Trey. But with actual playmaking and ball handling. He would def need to be able to create his own shot but he’s got the skills to do it. And it’s not like CJ is super efficient at getting himself clean looks. He just makes really tough shots over guys.

I don't mind Sheppard, but he's an ideal fit next to Zion/BI, not a replacement for a guy like BI.

We deal BI for Sheppard and we have 1 guy who can create his own offense on our entire team. Trey, CJ, Sheppard, etc. are not lead guys. Things get real ugly, real fast when Zion is off the court.

If we were in the East, we could grind out a top-3 seed with that defensive mentality (just look at the Knicks, or what the Magic are doing), but in the West? I doubt we make the playoffs.
