Minimal amounts of THC was allowed (Delta-8 & Delta-9 products) but now North LA reps want to take out ALL consumable THC products that aren't for medicinal purposes because they think gas stations are going to sell kids gummies indiscriminately.

Get a license.

I much prefer to be around people who are high on hemp than people who are drunk on alcohol. All the difference in the world.

Those speaking in support of the bill included Gene Mills of the conservative Louisiana Family Forum, who said his organization’s “vision is to build a Louisiana where God is honored, life is respected, families flourish and liberty reigns;” Will Hall of the Louisiana Baptist Convention; and Brandy Klingman, chief executive officer at Legacy Behavioral Health, who claimed without evidence that the products had led to “a tidal wave of psychosis in Louisiana.”

So basically to mollify the religious nuts. fricking retards.

I am a 65 year old retiree with all the nagging aches and pains that come with age. I tried the combination THC/CBD gummies and found they relieved the pain enough for me to do things that were becoming harder to do.
I'm definitely not a drug supporter, don't even drink alcohol. Most would consider me a "health nut". It's so nice to be able to crawl all around the auto's and do mechanic work like I was in my mid 40's again.
For all those like me that are against illegal drug use please look into the positive aspects of cannabis. There are definitely aspects of this that help people in need.

Should there be some health code restrictions that limit the absolute insane shite shady gas stations sell? Probably, but full ban is nuts.

I remember just a few months ago, when all the problems in this state were blamed on JBE and not having a GOP supermajority.

Now, we have a republican as governor and a GOP supermajority, so how's it going fixing all the problems we have?

I tried telling y'all, these people were clowns and only cared about protecting their power and their donors.

For the 80th time or so, very glad I left this state. So many actual problems, and they can't even start on that. Wasn't his whole thing government overreach and cleaning up NOLA?

Nothing says liberty quite like banning a relatively harmless product consumed by consenting adults.

Meanwhile in MS I renewed my medical card last week and the practitioner told me that the state was striving to be on the cutting edge of the cannabis industry, They have earmarked funds for a medical cannabis research facility and will be breaking ground soon. It will be paid for with earnings from the current program.

I bet if you asked Gov. Tater over in MS, he would go on and on about how much he hates weed and how horrible it is.

But, he understands personal freedoms, he understands making his state competative, and he undderstands developing and growing business.

Landry and the idiots in LA do not.

he didn't push much policy while he was running, but yes, that's two of them.

Meanwhile, now that he's in office, he made a big push to send Troopers to NOLA but nothing has happened yet, and his cronies in the legislature are trying to gut public records requests and creating a massive new government paid private education handout.

In other words he's all for more overreach.

The only thing I can take at night and get solid long lasting sleep. Thank you government. Always looking out for us.

Maybe if we package it as a vaccine, the goverment will be on board.

Bumping the thread because i just talked to an 85-year-old woman who told me how great THC drops have been for her arthritis. She was prescribed Lortabs by her PCP but they gave her constipation, so the drops her kid gave her were a godsend. I didn’t tell her.

And access to more potent drugs.

The politicians are stupid, really stupid. More people are at risk if they pass this.

But its par for the Louisiana course.

You should probably tell her. That way, when it jumps the next hurdle, she can stock up at a decent price.
