frick LA - that is my yard when so much as a drop of rain falls within 50 miles. i love my yard, in that it is very soft grass - almost like walking on shag carpet, but it also grows super fast and i have to mow every 3 to 4 days.

and agreed OP, today is a very nice day - hoping tomorrow will be the same. celebrating my moms 76th Birthday with a picnic at Oak Mountain.

Years ago, I was in California at a national meeting and showing some people my Lutcher-Gramercy bonfire pics. A super tree hugger went ballistic over "stupid rednecks cutting down the forest, just for entertainment."

She had just about gone as far as a nice guy could take when my regional sales manager stepped in and did some polite 'splaining to her.

"Karen, just calm down! This guy lives in Louisiana and if he doesn't cut his grass in 3 weeks, he'll have a forest in the front yard."
