we just got back from Maui, loved it. Stayed at the Grand Wailea. It was amazing. Can not recommend it enough. any of the places on Wailea beach area are awesome, especially the grand, four seasons and the fairmont.

we did take a short trip over to pearl and see it and waikiki beach. it was cool but recommend doing the sub tour, the arizona and the mighty Mo.

on maui we did road to Hana tour which was awesome. would have been better in private car but was still awesome

also went to mama's fish house and walked all over the little town of Paia

also did the Haleakala Sunrise which was cool but cold AF

another great restruant we ate at was on the ground of the grand called Humuhumunukunukuapua'a

but here is the deal....if you are wanting to sit on the beach and pool area...save money and go to the Caribbean. The beaches on Hawaii are not that nice and the water is cold AF. the overall scenery is better in Hawaii due to mountains and palm trees etc but must nicer water, beach etc in the Caribbean and its going to save you a ton of money or allow for a much much nicer resort.
