Like the coach hire.

Honestly this doesn’t move the needle outside of being a name people kind of know. We’ll probably win 3 games. Maybe 4 if we manage to pull our random upset of y’all.

One thing for sure is Coach Vincent is turning the program over. Did I hear they are gonna have something like 50 new players on this year's team?

It's his nephew. He's Abram Booty's son.

One of my old teammates used to room with Abram at LSU.

IIRC, the kid’s mom was a hottie back around 2000.

Kid went to three different high schools, and ULM is his third college counting Tyler JUCO. Must be getting advice from Shea Patterson.

So if the kid actually wants to be able to stay and try to compete in real games, it’s a waste

Anyone who thinks that the universities aren’t going to figure out how to work this transfer system eventually is being naive.

Deion already did that at Colorado by telling virtually the whole team upon his hiring that they better hit the portal.

That’s my point. The players are advocating for less commitment and more transfer freedom.

That door swings both ways.

So why did the school get rid of Coach Bowden? I kinda scratched my head over them making that move. He goes to church with my folks. Great guy and seemed like a good coach that wanted to build some roots in Monroe.

ULM just seems to just be cursed with being mediocre at best playing at least 2 SEC teams every year without the SEC depth and Coach seemed like a person that could make do with those expectations when they limp into Sunbelt play. I felt like he could possibly get them to a bowl at some point. I mean they have a shoe string athletic budget and Monroe isn't exactly a town that screams to recruits as an awesome place to come play being that LSU is all people care about there, other than Tech.
