Holly Savidge says her daughter, Sophie Savidge, was dressed up and ready to go into Mason Classical Academy’s prom.

“She was excited. We took a couple pictures,” her mother said.

wouldn’t this apply to any rule. Kids comply with dress codes every day if their school life. This is no different

Generally speaking most dress codes have gender neutral options.

And I am all for dress codes.I just don’t think gendered ones hold up to any real scrutiny if you’re a public ally funded institution.

Consequences. Sounds like the entitled brat needed a lesson in life.
10000% she knew this prior and decided to defy anyway. Love how the news leaves out the important stuff like the truth.

Is this where I would draw the line, no, but it is good that push back is finally happening. I hate that culture war is occurring, but I'm also sick and tired of the inmates running the asylum unchecked.

Maybe this makes me a liberal cuck but my stance is that if no one is being harmed, live and let live.

For example: Biological men should not be allowed to play womens sports because it harms women. But a confused teen should be allowed to wear a suit to prom if they so please. It literally harms no one at all.

private school, they get to make the rules, if they're too tough to abide by, don't go there(to the school or the prom)

I think the issue is that slippery slope is no longer a fallacy, it's basically being proven as a fact before our eyes. Both sides are setting up the battle lines too far into sane world as to not give an inch.

My kids go to a private school and I totally get that. We recently had to buy new school shirts for my son with a month left in school because he hit a growth spurt and couldn't keep his shirt tucked in. I was pissed because theres only a month left. Just let him make it the month and we will get new uniforms for next year. But no, I had to do it now because the private school said so.

On the other hand, pick your battles a bit. If this gender confused kid is trying to use the wrong bathroom, step in and say something. If they just want to wear clothes that are deemed appropriate for others (guys) to wear to this event, just let it go.

I get where you're coming from but you've got to draw the line somewhere, school is supposed to be a place of learning, not just book learning but how to interact with people, respect for others, discipline, etc., I think it's part of the learning process to learn to abide by the rules, not just the ones you want to abide by

Seems to be a public school receiving public funding. I am not sure how they can enforce this dress code.

Muh dress code is gender discrimination.

But you’re cool with scholarships, hiring, college admissions, and government contracts discriminating against white guys.
