69mph gust at the Laffy airport earlier and it probably missed the highest winds. Not a lot of stations to be had after that, though.

Just want to reiterate again how important it is to take these severe thunderstorm warnings seriously tonight. Even if there isn’t a tornado with these storms, these severe straight line winds are very strong and can do widespread, considerable damage.

Really interested if what just passed through South Lafayette was a tornado. That was wild. Easy 80-90mph winds

This actually seems a bit stronger than the other day. The lights flickered but are still on here in Inniswold.

Yeah, this was just as bad as the storm that hit here a couple nights ago.

Lost power this time though. North of the Cajundome.

Tiger Stadium Weatherstem showed a 60 mph gust again tonight. The instrument may be maxed out at 60 though and wind was really stronger.

There's a chance it was a tornado. There was rotation, but no strong couplet. With storms like this, though, they can happen so fast and be gone so quickly that it is really hard to tell. It is also hard to differentiate between straight-line winds and a weak tornado when looking at damage.

The lightning is intense with this one. You can't see anything if you have it turned on on radar.

I-10 from St George area all the way to New Orleans is basically in the line of fire for this round that went through Acadiana, at least for the worst of it.
