I get it. It’s a throwback to the uniforms the Giants wore 100 years ago in honor of their anniversary.

The "100" patch on the jersey remind sme of the 1969 Ole Miss helmets.
Texas was also celebrating their 100th year in 1969. They wore these.
As a 10 year old kid, I thought these were pretty cool . Still think they were.

They should have never departed from the LT era uniforms. Very good look back then. Traditional feel but with better materials, some larger numbers, easy to read, good logo on the helmet, etc.
