Baric and Shi Zhengli are likely the two people that directly illegally created Covid-19.
At who’s behest?
My point in asking isn’t to absolve anyone you mentioned of responsibility.
Quite the opposite.
But letting the investigation hang there is like trying the people who ran Buchenwald without then going after those who ordered them to do what they did.
And while I have great reservations about the death numbers that were reported during Covid, it’s entirely possible that whoever set this illegal research in process is responsible for far more deaths than the Nazis who ran the death camps.
We need as a society to know who set this in motion, why, and to use it as an example with the consequences to those who did so within the government or otherwise being so profound that no one in future generations ever decides to do anything like this again.
I say this without any hyperbole: people need to hang for what happened before, during and after the Covid leak occurred.
Id love for anyone to explain to me why the guy who shoots a drug dealer in a parking lot deserves the death penalty but that the people who killed millions and shut down the globe for years aren’t deserving of the same for crimes against humanity?

Fauci and Daszak.

We can walk and chew gum at the same time. If I was President tomorrow, I would arrest all of these clowns with no possibility of bail, and then try Fauci first (I can try Randi Weingarten and Andrew Cuomo separately given they’re not directly linked to Fauci). I will give some of Fauci’s fellow conspirators the chance to have a reduced sentence so long as they testify against him and a few other of the worst offenders who will be tried after Fauci, otherwise if they don’t then death penalty is on the table for them as well when their trial comes up.
So yes, I agree that Fauci must be tried first, because if you convict him, then convict all of them. Fauci’s trial would be one of the longest in American history, but you can streamline the rest of them once you convict him.
You might as well be defending Himmler, Goebbels, and Heydrich because Hitler gave them the orders. No, these people were very willing participants and did their mass murdering duties with glee. Few arguments piss me off more than “Just following orders” because really what you’re saying is “I’m a fricking coward.”

At no one’s behest.
They weren’t kidnapped. They weren’t holed up in a jail being forced to perform this research. They willingly participated in gain of function research that ended up killing millions of people.
