USA helping anybody...

I dont think one dollar from US taxpayer money should go anywhere outside of the country to help anybody out. no exceptions.
We have Vets that need our help, Homeless everywhere, and we send trillions of dollars to help everyone else out. We the people should not have to pay money to foreign countries to help their economy when we have people here at home that could use help.

I tend to agree to a certain extent.
I don't mind foreign aid for staunch allies in desperate need, but not funding to fight proxy wars etc. It's nonsense.

Be careful, the "smart" baws on here will prophesize the end of the world if the US were to focus on domestic issues instead of foreign ones.

I was listening to Dan Carlin podcast this a.m. and he was talking about how the current post WWII America the worlds greatest super power is unsustainable. At some point we are going to have to retract our role as world police.

I sure do agree with this. At least for at least one presidential term..... We need a reset here in our country. bad.

Foreign aid is not always about help..its often about leverage...and it accounts for about 1% of our entire budget each year. But I agree there is so much work at home that needs to be done that it does seems unfair to be supporting places like Yemen, Somalia, South Sudan etc..

To many countries have become dependent on our money pouring into their crooked pockets. Its time to turn off the spicket for a while, we cannot do it for ever, but we need to help Americans first.

Yes if we had the money that places like dubai has and there was no homeless nobody struggling to pay for their medical no hungry people then yes spread the wealth around. But there are countries that have come to rely on what we give them every year. And i fail to see how it is leverage to give them money. Why do we need to leverage a country with money? If they cannot make it on their own and want to join our United States of America, then they will become part of us. And we would put our people their and all their resources would become ours. They sell their resources to us at fair value and we collect taxes, hold elections, put the American constitution in place for every citizen. Then we can give them money

Are you old enough to remember LBJ sent wheat to the Soviet Union in the middle of the cold war? We were spending billions of dollars to confront Communism and then supporting it. Still are.
