Adding on to my small home gym and was wondering y’all’s opinions. Which is better for cardio/weight loss. Yes diet and lifting are being factored in as well.

As someone who runs, stationary bike. Ideally one of those assault bikes and not a cheap Sunny brand stationary bike from Walmart. The low end stationary bikes are dog shite and you'll hate them. Treadmills can be torture for even people who like running. Get something you can easily do HIIT on and not hate your life.

which one are you actually going to use is most important. treadmill has more functional options with running /walking incline / decline. if going bike route get spin bike style not stationary seated unless going airdyne. another option is a rower

I would likely use the treadmill more, but I’m not against trying something new.

I know you didn't mention it, but I'd consider a row machine. Probably less expensive as well.

$850 Rogue Echo Bike
I use this at the gym and I love it. Smooth, adjustable, good output on the computer to track watts, speed, distance, etc, and you can customize things for different workouts.
Way more difficult than either a stationary bike or treadmill, and both of those bore me quickly. A 10 minute interval workout on the Rogue Echo Bike seems to go by faster than 3 minutes walking on a treadmill, for example.

I have a Peloton and love it. That being said, if I were buying something now it would likely be a rower. I ride every other day and lift on the days between. Treadmills take up a good bit of space as well but many of the rowers fold up to a compact footprint when not in use.

Cycling takes more effort per minute used, so will burn more calories faster.
