I mean, my bank account says otherwise.

I’ll go with the gross revenues of the two leading national grocers which are pretty bang on inline with the bls food inflation figures.

The market's up because interest rates are killing the economy numbnuts. People aren't celebrating with their 401Ks because they've had to drain them to keep up with living.

ETA: not to mention, Credit Card defaults and bankruptcy are at near all-time highs.

but the 3% thing was far more of an anomaly than 7%.

I know a guy that says that a lot and like, so what??? We also had a post-industrial bullshite economy for most of that time and Robert Reich kept telling us we would be a service economy.

It didn't work. We lost all kinds of factories and jobs to Mexico China, wherever.

Good ol bobby reich, trading blowjobs for haircuts. Great look for the US.

Go grocery shopping, when you’re done with that try buying a house.
And try puttting gas in your car to get to those places.

Ok?

No one has ever argued that food inflation has not occurred over the past few years.

You seem to have an excuse for items that are brought up as examples and saying it's not as bad as our budgets suggest. I guess technically you aren't saying it, but you heavily imply it.

Maybe my grocery basket is special, but my food costs since the end of 2020 are up well over 25%. I guess I'm just unlucky in what I choose to buy.

My ex FIL said he was paying like 18% interest on his home back in the early 80's. I like to remind the younger generation about this when they say housing was so much cheaper back then. Sure, his house cost $40K brand new but his mortgage was $700/month when he was only bringing in $1,000 and he was the sole income for a 4 person family.

You brought up one single item that no person arguing in good faith could say is representative of the average inflation of groceries.

"Deserves 4 more years"? He won't last 1 more year before the DNC jerks him out of the office or he breaks his neck falling down Air Force One's stairs. And, oh, yea, in 10 years his 10,000,000 replacement voters will have made this country a one party country. Run again by Obama's gang.

I brought up the fact that the rate of inflation is artificially kept low by picking and choosing what gets included in the CPI reports.

But, in true democRAT fashion, you laugh it off.

One of countless examples of significantly inflated costs. GTFO pretending you're making good faith arguments.

What motivated you to choose an item that was greatly influenced by a supply side occurrence instead of nearly every other item that was inflated due to the general demand side?
