MADISON, Wis. (AP) — Someone’s plans to harvest dozens of apparent marijuana plants grown on the Wisconsin state Capitol grounds have gone up in smoke.

The plants sprouted in a tulip garden outside the Capitol

She said there were dozens of the plants in the garden, suggesting someone planted them intentionally.

“It was just a large number of plants for it to be anything accidental,” Ellison said.

Tatyana Warrick, a spokeswoman for the state Department of Administration, told The Associated Press in an email Friday that workers had removed the plants, but that her agency couldn’t determine if they were marijuana or hemp. Both are forms of cannabis, but only marijuana has the compound that gets people high.

Warrick didn’t respond to questions about how the plants might have made it into the garden.

No shite?

Kind of a funny story...

A couple of decades back, my buddy had a kind of hidden spot he would park to roll a blunt or J. Back in those days weed had a bunch of seeds in it and he would just toss them out the window.

One spring we pull up in the old faithful spot and there were weed plants growing everywhere.

We left them alone and avoided the spot so as to not be linked to the plants. We went back a month or two later just to check on them and the city had brush hogged the empty lot. I always wonder if they saw them or just ran them over without noticing.

We sabotaged a biology growing project at school during the 90s. Put weed seeds in all the cups. The teacher figured it out a few days after they sprouted.

All the plant cups just vanished. We never did another planting project after that lol
