Road hazard warranty through Sam's Club

Purchased brand-new tires at the end of January. Less than 5K miles on them. One of the tires has a nail in the sidewall and cannot be repaired. The tires (Yokohama) that I purchased are no longer carried by Sam's Club.
Their solution for now is to offer a replacement tire made by Bridgestone, Pirelli, or Michelin.
Would you accept a mismatched tire brand with so many few miles on the new set of tires? Or would you want all 4 tires to match? My preference is to have all four tires of the same brand.
The 800 # to Sam's Club is worthless as it appears to be outsourced to out of the country.

If it’s in the warranty that it can be a comparable for whatever reason, then don’t know what you can do. I wouldn’t go in hot though. See if they will work with you. I learned my lesson at a young age from your situation.
Maybe eat it on the tire somewhere else and just get them rotated for free at Sam’s so often it washes?
Or, get the tire that they have put on a rim and sell it. Use cash for other tire? Just brainstorming.
This will probably be my last set from Sam’s since I moved closer to a Costco so I’ll prob have to find a diff brand if they don’t have Goodyear. Also, my spare is always a match. I usually rotate it through the cycle of wear outs.

I won't, and I am a very reasonable person. I paid a good amount for these tires (Yokohama), and it's disappointing to learn that Sam's doesn't carry this brand anymore.
The tire that I am looking for is still made and available elsewhere, but it's a $330 tire, and I don't want to pay out of pocket, when I have a road hazard warranty through Sam's (it was included with the purchase of the tires, which is why I chose Sam's for tires).

We found that Sam's can order tires that they no longer stock and have them delivered to your house. We then took the tire to sam's for installation.
You might be able to push them to order it for you.

I wouldn't want mismatched tires but I can't expect then to give you a new set either go roll ove nails with the other 3 problem solved

I checked the item number on Sam's Club and they no longer carry the product. The 800 # said the same thing.

Ask for 2 new replacement tires, so you can at least have matching tires on each axle.

I know this probably isn't your preference, but there's a Mexican tire shop on Coursey that will plug it for you for $10 (cash only) in about 5 minutes and it will probably hold up.
I got this done on my wife's car recently. Same scenario except no tire warranty and that Michelin had 1k miles on it.

Well in my case it was just close to it. Tire shops want nothing to do with repairing them even close to it.

I prefer not to (at this point), however, this might be an option that I consider as I would rather all 4 tires the same, or a minimum of two the same at the very least.

Same thing happened to my wife. One nail, close to the sidewall and they wouldn't touch it. She got quoted $800 for a new set from the "legit" place.
I took her car to the hood and had it plugged for $10.
Still good over a year later.

Find another place that still carries your matched tire. This is not difficult. Tire manufacturers do not actually honor a nail in a tire to be replaced.

Great suggestion, but there are only two local Sam's Clubs in the Baton Rouge area.

The big tire shops won't patch anything other than dead center tread or right near there. I guess the liability for $20 isn't worth it.
I've gotten tires fixed like hers was that I've driven on for the life of the tire. Totally in the sidewall is a different story.

Don't look at Sam's. You are going to pay for another tire out of your pocket. There are other places other than Sam's that still most likely will carry the match.
