The Reds beat the Dodgers a few days ago by trotting out a new reliever every inning.

It’s only been three years since CPM did that every week.

Maybe he bounces back, but I agree that he gives up way too much contact. Especially after an inning or so of pitching.

I’m going to give you benefit of the doubt and say you meant to say “hard contact”, because pitching to contact is what every pitcher since 10th grade into the majors is taught. I want contact as a pitcher, but I want it on my terms ie rollover, out in front, end of the bat etc.

It’s amazing we are at the end of the season and LSU doesn’t have a 3rd starter

We have this conversation every damn year. It’s very common for most teams to not have three studs.

, there is a reason the staff chose Dutton,

because its harder to lose the game in the 1st inning vs the 7th inning. They are trying to steal 2innings early.

Dutton over the last 2 years in SEC games:

13.1 IP
21 H
13 ER

He's given up:

5 HR
3 2Bs
1 3B

I think i personally would have went Anderson. I hate how they've given up on him after putting him in some bad spots after a nice start. Does not compute at all

Dutton will cook today. Just get him out as soon as they start hitting him.

They didn't give him the opportunity to thankfully. Plan was clear that he was throwing 1 inning, which is what most said was fine.

They had the bullpen going by the 3rd batter. It was a very short leash.
