Wife killled a spike last year, so I was glad when she let this one walk. I told her it’s time to step her game up this year lol

Me and small balls boated thru some backwater to a spot nobody has been to since the river came up several weeks ago. Deer all up in here. If I can keep him from shooting a doe I like our chances at big nuts

Hunted this morning with two little girls. No deer but managed to keep them from fighting or shooting the 10 squirrels we saw.

Back at it with big sister sitting in a fence row on a 40 acre field that should fill up with deer about 10 min before shooting hours end. This could get interesting. Skeeters fighting thermacell hard.

Claiborne Parish
70 degrees and calm
308 and AR15 in case hogs show up

Missed first opening morning in over 20 years, traveling home from work in Charlotte. Food plots are looking good, planted them in late September.

Back in same stand as this morning. Just want a big doe.

Little buck I shot this morning weighed 180 lbs. Really good size for a young piney woods deer.

My uncle got him a great one tonight in Lincoln Parish. He was scoping an 8 pt when this 10, maybe 11, walked out.
