Difficulty of putting Epoxy on concrete floors?

My wife is wanting to an epoxy finish on our concrete floors in our new kitchen. I was concerned about the difficulty of doing this ourselves. Is it a pretty easy process? Is there a good chance that we will mess this up when we are mixing up the chemicals?

Epoxy on concrete is notoriously inconsistent, particularly new concrete OR old concrete that has had spills of oils or other contaminants. I would acid stain it a color that your wife likes and then use a sealer like Everclear which is easy to re-coat/repair.

be sure you are out of the house for a week or so afterward. that stuff is toxic and takes a long time to fully offgas.

It is easy as can be, just clean repeatedly and use an acid wash prior to putting it down.
My only suggestion is buy more than you think you need because they are way off on coverage, otherwise follow the directions on the box.

We used to always use Kemiko stains and they came out excellent. After we would stain, we would use a 2-part epoxy designed for floors with a high gloss. We never had an issue with this or it being inconsistent

Put tile down. Epoxy looks like shite
