Not a huge fan of Subway(I don't qualify ay sub joint good when the steak and cheese is trash) but that Italian herbs and cheese bread with meatballs is very tasty. No matter what it's made of. We've all eaten worse.

You worked at subway, lol...

Which is crazy because it doesn't have to be. They freaking make it fresh and chunk it at the end of the day
Do they really make it fresh, or is it mixed up somewhere else and shipped to each store where they just proof it and bake it? I have no idea. If they really make it from raw ingredients at the store, I agree with you. If they ship it already mixed, who knows how long it sits refrigerated before it's baked.
I remember when Pizza Hut made their own dough in every store. You could see into the kitchen through the pass-through and see the ovens, the giant mixers, and whatnot. Those days are long gone.

Subway bread is probably so full of preservatives,

It's not. There are a bunch of dumbfricks in this thread. Irish tax law only allows bread to be tax free if it has basically zero sugar. Subway uses too much sugar in their bread, so Irish tax law says it's not a "staple" food like soda bread and potatoes.
It is literally taxed as a luxury good.

They are not dumb fricks but they apparently can't read past the first half of the first sentence. They just lack reading endurance.

Europeans have always said American bread tastes like cake.

I need more than six inches. I need a footling oven roasted chicken on wheat. I do wonder how healthy that shite really is because my blood sugar goes through the roof eating a foot long. I much prefer Firehouse Subs but that crap has a ton of calories. Is there anything good that doesn’t have 800 calories in it ?

I hardly think someone is a dumbfrick for not being familiar with Ireland’s value added tax law. Misleading headline if you don’t read the article

Am I dreaming or was that Subway that used to bake their bread in the restaurant? They changed to crappy buns in the early 2000’s I think.

Did not need to read the article at all. The OP only had two short quotes and one where clearly explained that the sugar content is too high for their definition of bread.
You proved my point that most people read little further than the headline.

I came here To post this too. I quit buying Bryers after I noticed that. Something to do with the amount of air they pump into their product. Ice cream can only have a certain amount but they use more air do they can use less ice cream in each container.
