Coach Ensminger!
Ya'll want to jump on him for being archaic, poor, etc.
Win or lose last night I was thinking of the job he did. Play calling was very good - execution could have been better but what can you expect with that amount of youth?Making the switch at QB was brilliant, too.
Florida's DL is as great as any team. Although our OL didn't win all the time the OL was + overall last night - even with the plug and play personnel.

Yes, they were. The Oline is the real MVP last night. Also, even though they kind of sucked, you have to tip your hat to our secondary who kept battling with McGlothern, Ward, and the Southeastern guy as our three corners.

They held Trask to a 63 QB rating. Amazing!

Just think when lsu gets a pass rush again

Crazy that we were missing so many corners

Why did they sit ricks and then finally put him back in at the end

Usually this is true, but this season Florida's defensive front is very soft.

They may not be soft, but their defense has not been very good this year.

3 and 10: “Let’s throw a three yard pass”

Next 3 and 10: “Let’s try that three yard pass again”

The play calling was not very good.

LSU’s last few series were awful and if it weren’t for the shoe, the loss would have been squarely on Steve’s shoulders.

He dialed up back to back runs for a walk on RB. What were you watching?

The last few series were terrible. Calling four yard outs on 3rd and 7 is frustrating. But he had moments last night

Oh, the future pass rush was on display last night, his name is Jacquelin Roy. He had 2 sacks and deserves more playing time because he’s the best DL LSU has. Hats off to that young man.

That's not how play calling works. Max has multiple options on every play. He chose to throw to certain receivers, because they were the only ones open or he missed other open receivers, or pressure forced an early throw, etc.

Max played like a warrior last night. His inexperience showed at times, and there were a lot of drops.

Considering the personnel, the weather and the situation, the play calling was fine.

You do realize E isn’t the guy who decides who to throw the ball to right.

Go watch that last two drives again. If Max makes the right read KM is in for a TD on one.

On the shoe play he had 3 WRs behind the first down marker....open

(Disclaimer: Not slamming Max, he did great in his first start)

Not defending emsminger here, but it's shocking how many fans think you can just run the same plays you ran with Burrow or Brennan with a true freshman QB.

Lol.

This team won DESPITE Ensminger.

And Pelini too, for that matter.

Yea, people think the OC controls everything. A great call last year is a terrible call this year, because of personnel.

There were plenty of plays tonight where LSU receivers dropped the ball, or Max did not see open receivers.

LSU had 3rd, 4th and 5th string players at almost every skill position.
