Arik Gilbert's trainer confirms on twitter that Gilbert has not entered the portal

Here is the thread.
For anyone who cant open twitter, it starts with him quote tweeting some UGA person and saying
"He has not enter the portal."
A UGA fan then replies to him with a quote from Coach O saying that he is in the portal but we hope to have him back.
Trainer then says "He's not officially in the portal. No school can contact him period."
and then says "Do you think I would say that if I hadn't spoken to AG personally?"
I think the most likely outcome is probably still that Gilbert leaves, but I'll tell you for sure that I like the fact that this guy never once used the word "yet". He very specifically did NOT say "he hasn't entered the portal yet."
Let's hope we can get him back on board, because next year could be shaping up to be special...

Gilbert signed up to play in Joe Brady's offense. What he got this year with Ensminger and Linhean was obviously not what he wanted. A 10 minute meeting with Peetz and Mangas and this kid will be back on the team and ready to roll for next year.
Gilbert needs to be their #1 priority.

LSU has the best QB outlook of any team in the country.
Not sure why he wouldnt want to play 2 more years here. Wait till covid is over and he can have real fun with the coeds

LOL, this is so ridiculous. Just get it over with already 1 way or the other. Either come back or enter the damn portal. "He isnt in the portal"..."but he still plans to be in the portal"
LOL WTF why is he waiting then? There's no reason to not be in the portal if you even think you might come back, you can always come back even in the portal. All the portal does is open you up to coaches from other schools contacting you.
Next week cant get here soon enough to end this drama. School starts up.

Ohio State's QB recruiting has been on another level lately.
2020 - CJ Stroud - .9780 - #2 Pro QB, #42 nationally.
2021 - Kyle McCord - .9877 - #3 Pro QB, #22 nationally.
2022 - Quinn Ewers - .9994 - #1 Pro QB, #2 nationally.
LSU is finally doing better with QB recruiting, but we're not recruiting QBs anywhere near the level of Ohio State.
