Some of y’all don’t understand what Little League is. Little League is the name of the league.

Just like Dixie Youth or Cal Ripken

The Little League teams are travel ball teams.

These teams aren’t made up of your Wreck All Star teams. These teams are made up of legit majors and AAA travel kids that play together all summer.

this is completely false. Little League is a Rec league that is comprised of 8-10 teams. The league is drafted and each team 2-3 stud players, then 5-6 average players and then 2-3 below average players.
At Lafayette Little League the major division is comprised of 11-12 yr olds only and is re-drafted each year. Also there is a rule in place that in order to participate in all stars a player must have been in the league the previous year. This was put in place to prevent 12 yr olds jumping into the league just for all stars.
So yes the all star team is made up of travel ball players but chances are they play on different travel teams. BUT the common denominator is they all played a full season in the Rec league. The kid has to play a minimum number of games to eligible for all stars.
Also LLL plays majority of the games during the week to free up the kids and families to do whatever they want on weekends

I’d love to know how many Little League games the Griffin kid actually played in.

This is completely true, but the all-star teams are made up of 100% travel ball kids. For Eastbank, most of these kids have played with each other or against each other in travel ball since they were 5-6 years old. As kids moved around, it is now comprised of probably 5 different travel ball teams.

The Lafayette little league team is majority Apex baseball out of Lafayette. Probably 7-8 kids from that one team.

that rule was removed this year. Can play all stars if you play rec ball as a 12 year old.

and what he was saying, was all the kids are travel kids that come back for 1 or 2 years while still playing travel just to try and make the LLWS.

That wasnt happening before Eastbank won. now it is again, we shall see if trend continues.

Depends on where you are. In the Nola area there are only 2 teams in that U12 age group. The East Bank always advances.
Yes the kids play in the JPRD REC league but they are all major travel ball kids some on the same teams some are on different teams, and the all star LL team is already set
