We will score 5 to 6 runs. It's our ceiling. It's all this offense has been able to get for weeks. We have to ride good pitching to win.

What pitcher can keep it under that? Not Hurd.

Maybe a combination of Ack, Moffitt, Ulloa. Ole Miss hasn't liked the breaking pitches so maybe Ulloa and Ack could have a day.

If Hurd somehow pitches like he did at the end of last year then LSU has a legit chance to make a postseason run.
Now do I believe that will happen? No, but I can wish and hope.

This game is to Important. Hatcher Turd should already have his locker cleaned out and be on the way home.

How is Ole Miss with their pitching depth? Are they in a better position than us are we in the same boat for tomorrow?

THIS! Need to have the mindset that we must outscore OM. No lead is enough. Great opportunity for this pitching staff to pitch their arses off and get a W!

needs to pretend he's back at the CWS

Well. It's basically do or die. Kinda the same thing. Who here wouldn't take the 4 shutout innings he threw against Florida before things went sideways. I'd take Hurd with a short hook. I think Hurd is better as a starter than a reliever. Either start him or leave him

If it's Dutton, he shouldn't see the lineup more than once.

One option is Moffet who gave us 3+ innings against A&M. But he's good in relief so I'd have him ready for after whoever starts.

I could be wrong, but I don't see Jay starting Ack (my first choice) since he threw Friday. We will 100% see Ack, but the question is "when?".

Ulloa will come in as relief at some point, but he's never gone more than 2.0 innings and hasn't hit 40 pitches in an outing.

Dutton 2 innings
Moffet 2 innings
Ack 3 innings
Ulloa 2 innings

This could certainly work without Hurd, but doesn't leave much room for error. I have as much faith in Hurd as I do Anderson or Loer which is very limited.

In the 9 SEC series game 3s... The most we have scored is 6 runs. We've scored 5 three times. If we win tomorrow, it's more likely it's b/c of pitching.

5 L vs. State
2 L vs. Florida
5 L vs. Arky
3 L vs. Vandy
4 L vs. Tenn
6 W vs. Mizzou
5 L vs. Auburn
4 L vs. aTm
3 L vs. Bama
? ? vs. Ole Miss

Need Hurd to pitch like last year all year long this season. I don’t trust it. Let someone else step up

Last year the man pitched beyond himself when it counted most.

This would be best case scenario. If he does pitch…he lets someone on and he’s out.

Hurd is the word. May he rise like a Phoenix and rip out the still beating hearts of all his opponents.
