He's for sure missed more than that. Just rewound it.

Was in the scripted period, not the actual game setting

Nuss and Lacy looking lat least as good as expected. Lacy looks like he has taken a huge step forward, IMO.

Also a few guys kind of stood out positively.

Reliford, Hurley, CJ Daniels, and PJ Woodland all looked like future and maybe even this year's stars.

Fast release. Looks downfield a lot. Very promising.

Receivers had great hands other than a few contested drops.

Maybe it was just a listing of the big catches by WRs
From NOLA.com:
quote:

Nussmeier, offense rolls
Garrett Nussmeier looked sharp in his first spring game as the starting quarterback, as did the rest of the first-team offense. Nussmeier threw a 45-yard touchdown to Mississippi State transfer Zavion Thomas and a 59-yard touchdown to senior Kyren Lacy. He finished 7 of 7 for 187 yards with no interceptions over three series. Between Nussmeier’s touchdowns, running back Kaleb Jackson added a 32-yard score when the offensive line opened a large hole.

quote:

Defense remains concern
LSU’s offense will probably be in good shape. It has a veteran offensive line, talented skill players and a quarterback who looks ready. But the game only reinforced concerns about the defense. Thomas and Lacy were wide open on their touchdowns. Lacy added another 42-yard reception. Jackson was untouched on his score, and Josh Williams had an easy touchdown during the pre-scrimmage red zone period. The defense has a lot of work to do this offseason.

quote:

Other standouts
The spring game offered a chance to evaluate backups and young players. Playing against the backup offensive line, early enrollee defensive end Gabriel Reliford recorded two sacks, 3 ½ tackles for loss and one hurry. Redshirt freshman safety Kylin Jackson added a sack and a pass breakup. Liberty transfer receiver CJ Daniels also made a couple nice catches against the second-team defense. He spent spring practice with the backups but should be a factor this season.

Tbh I almost want Nuss to not have that great of stats because it shows that defense is improving. I hope it's not same thing this year as last.

Still need to get Lacy more involved in the spring game.

He was playing against LSU's defense! Every QB put up those stats last year.
