The responses in this thread somehow putting the stink on the 2013 offense (because "Les") to elevate OBJ and Juice. We threw the ball over 325 times that year. If you don't count sacks, we barely rushed over 400 times. That's "pass happy" for any almost any other LSU year before, say, 2018 (2014 passing attempts were under 275
) To keep Mett in perspective, he averaged about 320 attempts in 2012 and 2013, which is "Jamarcus" level (Jamarcus threw 346 times in 2006 before becoming the #1 overall pick). To even put it another way, in Saban's last year, Randall, Russell and Flynn combined for 316 attempts.
So, when Reed and Clayton combined for almost 150 catches and almost 2500 yards, when LSU did not even complete 240 passes (on 411 attempts) and JUST TOEFIELD rushed 230 times in 2001, that's pretty doggone impressive.

2013 was very balanced. Mett was a 3k passer, Jarvis and Odell both had 1100 yards receiving, Hill had 1400 yards rushing as the feature back.

When he first got to lsu he was known as odb and I loved it bc I loved ol dirty bastard, I swear I’m not Crazy and he change it like his senior year or maybe after he got to the league

Yeah he was referred to as ODB at one point. There was a pic of his dad in the stands with an LSU jersey on that had “ODB Sr” on the nameplate.
