His super high metabolism (burns up to 10,000 calories on workout days) is his issue.

How in the world would you know the amount of calories he burns in a day?

I can’t speak for other players on the team, but I know for a fact that Guidry was sent screenshots from here before. One of them was in reference to that meme of the chest xray with the pitbulls in it saying he has that dog in him. Obviously this was last year lol

Wouldn’t surprise me if he has family or friends creeping on here and occasionally posting. With that said burning 10k calories a day is hard to fathom but I’m not an expert in any of that.

Metabolic testing. I would assume 10,000 calories is an exaggeration but i was told his metabolic rate is ridiculous and it’s hard for him to eat the amount of food required to put on a large amount of weight. He eats often but burns calories so easy it’s an uphill battle.
This was a factor in him choosing to PO. Doing the 2-way workouts was burning too many calories.

I’m open to letting Guidry do what he wants.
But if that’s your plan to upgrade our team, it’s not much more than a hope and a prayer.

We batted something like 20 guys last night and how many hit the ball hard? Just about everybody.

If we only had a good pitching coach our guys could make the big show.

i dunno if you are related to him or not, nor do i care. he either gains weight and strength to add velo or the game is going to eat him up and spit him out.

Does baseball have its own strength trainer and weight room? Or do they use the same one as FB?

Baseball players can use the nutrition center, correct?

I'm just curious what resources he has to gain the needed strength and weight. Hopefully he is taking seriously and using all the resources available to him.

the minimum and i mean absolute minimum he should be is 185 lbs. but minimal optimal training weight is 200-205 and 100% optimal would be 3x height aka 220ish.

Tell him to get on HGH to get that muscle he needs.

I’d much rather develop it in the program than shop for it in the open market

That’s a bad decision.

While I like Guidry, he can’t hit a FB harder than 90mph and can’t hit sec level breaking balls. He couldn’t hit a decent on in high school. Now, if he is going to get mid 80’s FB put him in. He will crush them.

Yes and yes.

Baseball players get fed multiple times every single day at the facility, have all the nutritional shakes, etc that they need, and also has full access to the nutrition center. Every athlete on campus does.

He has basically every resource you can imagine.

He had at bats last season and against "live pitching" in intra-squad games as recently as January.
well it is freaking May and he is being rocked like a baby while pitching. Why not see if a spark can be lit

This team is cooked. There is no reason to not play around for the next month to see what could happen. Find another Lawson and things will be looking up
