That bomb caught my attention. Was joking in the game thread about if he could play CF, but from those who know recruiting and pay attention to off-season stuff, does he have the potential to play next year? We will be replacing at least 1 guy in OF and 95% of TD probably hopes we are replacing 2. I would prefer to get a guy or two out of the portal with some experience but if not, who do we have that we can plug in there?

Had a nice night.

Is Zeb short for Zebediah? That's a great name.

Not sure what it’s short for, but his actual first name is Harland. Which is also fricking cool.

He just got lost in the shuffle of a very crowded outfield. I thought he always did well in the fall scrimmages, hopefully tonight buys him some more playing time down the line.

Zeb’s the real deal. My oldest played ball with his older brother. Zeb has been the best player on his team at ever level he’s played. Just give him time.

I think he’s going to be a really good 4th and 5th year player for someone. I hope both sides have enough patience for it to be with us.

Yea he’s one of the few guys that I think have a chance to pop somewhere else, if not at lsu

You thinking like a Zach Watson comp? Has he shown that kind of pop in the past? 430 ft caught me a little off guard but I don’t know anything about him.

That was the absolute worst pitching I’ve witnessed a LSU club face in my lifetime of 48 & 1/2 years, so I am unable to evaluate any LSU hitter tonight.

I don’t think he’s quite that fast but he does have some speed.

He will be in a crowded group of L/L guys that can run and play at least a passable CF. Mic Paul, Griffin Cooley, and new JUCO commit Daniel Harden all fit that category.

With all due respect, I’m sure every player at LSU can say this

Has he now? So the LSU baseball coach has keep his player on the bench for 2 years? That is amazing, he was better than Dylan Crews last year and never saw the field.

Lol, he's been at LSU right at 2 years now, how much time is he needing to get to play in a game other than Grambling when they are up by 20?

Hyperbole is so overdone on this board...but in this case you might be right.

I'm not sure, I know he hasn't been in the dugout the past few weeks because he was dealing with an illness but he was there today. Like Zeb I always thought he played well in the scrimmages, but the most I have seen him do this season is throw with the right fielder between innings.

ETA: I looked and he did not redshirt last season, so maybe they aren't playing him because he is redshirting

Yea I get that it was terrible pitching and not much more than BP. But for a lot of us that didn’t get to see some of these guys in the offseason and don’t know much outside of the main guys , it was nice to see them finally get in and do something.

The reason I brought up Zeb was bc that HR just seemed different and if you have never seen him before or know much about him it was pretty unexpected. Not that he hit a HR but the fact it bounced off the intimidator. Not saying we put him in the starting lineup or anything.

Didn't think I was been a dick, just questioning a posters hyperbole about this dude being the "best" at ever level he's played and can't get on the field now.
