“Look, it’s never been about picking Jordan,” Rodgers said, referencing last year’s first-round pick, quarterback Jordan Love. “I love Jordan; he’s a great kid. [We’ve had] a lot of fun to work together. I love the coaching staff, love my teammates, love the fan base in Green Bay. An incredible 16 years. It’s just about a philosophy and maybe forgetting that it is about the people that make the thing go. It’s about character, it’s about culture, it’s about doing things the right way.”

“I think sometimes people forget what really makes an organization,” Rodgers said. “History is important, legacy of so many people who’ve come before you. But the people, that’s the most important thing. People make an organization, people make a business, and sometimes that gets forgotten. Culture is built brick by brick, the foundation of it by the people, not by the organization, not by the building, not by the corporation. It’s built by the people. I’ve been fortunate enough to play with a number of amazing, amazing people and got to work for some amazing people, as well. It’s those people that build foundation of those entities. I think sometimes we forget that.”

That’s really lame - he should have just avoided the topic all together and saluted Mayne if that’s what he wanted to do

"Sometimes things look good on paper, but lose their luster when you see how it affects real folks. I guess a healthy bottom line doesn't mean much if to get it, you have to hurt the ones you depend on. It's people that make the difference. Little people like you. So, Carl... whatever you got last year, add... 20%."

Is that code for “draft an offensive player with an early pick”?

Justin Jefferson may be at the root of this. Packers reporter Rob Demovsky tweeted out on the day of the 2020 draft that the Pack was interested in Jefferson but everybody knew at the time Minnesota wanted him too.

So when Green Bay chose to not trade up for Jefferson but did trade up for Love....basically they served up Aaron a double shite sandwich that Jefferson is still rubbing his face in by being so awesome, at least that's probably the way Aaron looks at it.

Gay or not, it would have been nice to see him play under Sean Payton.

It’s as tiresome to hear from/about Aaron Rodgers as it is to hear from/about Brett Favre. What is it about the Packers starting QB job that turns people into oversensitive shitheads? Or were they both just born that way?
