I didn’t see this but posted about it on the ATL board.
This is horseshite! So we have no Braves the rest of this season?

If were willing to pay for Xfinity, then just switch to Direct TV Stream.

a handful of search terms and a little patience and you can watch any sporting event you could ever want.

This. Not giving them any more of your money is your only recourse.

Cable/Satellite can't keep up with premium channels any longer The local channels are extremely overpriced and it has already killed a ton of businesses with many more over the horizon. Bally had Amazon bail them out this spring or they may have already gone belly up.
What does it all mean? GREED is going to continue to destroy sports TV packages and limit viewers' options. Cable companies are dying faster than they can bury them. Streaming is now the most productive option left for the purest.

I don’t know any market that has enjoyed Bally Sports, shitty camera work and quality

What difference does that make to an Xfinity subscriber? Cable companies can't keep up with the increasing greed associated with this platform. And frankly, customers are flocking to the streaming world because of it.

Hulu and YoutubeTV dropped them two or three years ago too. It's getting hard to get Bally at all at this point.

Wonder if this will lead to the Braves leaving Bally/Diamond and just have MLB directly distribute their games like the Rockies, Padres and DBacks are currently doing.
How many cable providers in the ATL market are still offering Bally Sports with xfinity out? ATT/DirecTV still do, who else?

I'm not sure what "productive" means in reference to streaming options, but decent streaming options are now increasingly expensive and the channel options are becoming more broken up (need multiple streaming options to get what you want). The overall streaming experience through a YouTubeTV or Fubo has gotten worse the last couple years, not better, in my opinion.
Streaming is ripe for consolidation, which will ironically leave us with an experience pretty similar to what cable was 6-7 years ago most likely

For my taste, sports. Getting as many sports channels for the money is what matters to me. Losing a favorite pro team would be unacceptable. Not seeing ALABAMA, each and every time they played would be unacceptable.

Providers aren't interested in carrying RSN's anymore. Comcast saw an exit ramp and took it. The cable/RSN model is on the verge of imploding

Bally has their own streaming app for $20/month. That's probably what I'll do until the season's over and then see what happens going into next year. I have a feeling Amazon is going to come into play.
The Braves were about the only thing that kept me hanging onto Comcast, but at this point, streaming and cable are just about a wash when it comes to monthly cost after you pay for hi speed internet. Comcast internet is way better than AT&T fiber from my experience and that's about the only two decent options in Atlanta.
I'm tempted to look at Verizon internet though. I've heard mixed reviews, so I might give them more time to optimize it.

You can’t get the Braves on this. Bally doesn’t own the Braves streaming rights. Only way you can stream the Braves on the Bally app is if you have a cable provider that carries the Braves
