In what is likely my last shipment of DVDs from Netflix, I just got notified that I am to receive:

The Silencing
The Big Ugly
The Hunter's Prayer
The Mummy (Tom Cruise version)
Legacy of Lies
Zero Motivation
Rocketman
1984

There is a possibility that the seven DVDs I returned last week will get processed before 9/28, so I might get more. It's been great since '98, DVDs. It's sad that there are 58 more discs in my queue that I will never get. :sniffle:

You get to keep your last order and they are sending random movies out to subscribers

It is highly likely that you will keep them. Recently read they will not ask for returns.

I wish I had known this before canceling a couple of months ago, but it was still cool to get a PDF that lists all 623 DVDs I had rented since 2011.

First DVD: The Descent: Part 2
Last DVD: Knock at the Cabin

You will not be charged for any unreturned discs - please enjoy them for as long as you like! If you do choose to return the disc, we will continue to accept returns until October 27th, 2023.

I'm actually going to return them all. I'm tempted to mail them all back on October 28th to see what happens.

They started a new plan in July or August where you could have 10 discs out at a time, but they didn't warn us. I only discovered when I tried to switch from 3 discs to 4 discs out. There was a 10 disc option, and I hammered "OK" immediately.

There was an option to opt-in to get 20+ discs at random from your queue on top of your regular subscription, but I apparently wasn't selected.

How did you pull the PDF? I didn't even know you could see your history, I'm at 1712 discs rented since 1998. This is how we waste life, lol.

I mean at first glance that seems like a lot, but it's really only one movie every five days or so.

Probably nowhere near what some people manage to knock down, especially with streaming options.

Assume a couple on a weekend here and there, and it's actually quite reasonable.

I had no idea people still did this. I couldn’t tell you the last time I watched a DVD at all but many years.

That’s approximately one movie every 5 days. That’s not bad.

The disturbing part of this whole episode is that other companies were willing to purchase DVD Netflix. But for whatever reason, they preferred simply blowing up the DVD company and how many people will no longer have jobs???
