No thank you. Foo Fighters is different without Taylor. LP with someone other than Chester is a hard pass in my book.

Hawkins was a great drummer, but the idea that the drummer has that type of impact on a band is laughable.

Chester was the lead vocalist and founding member of Linkin Park. Hawkins was not a founding member of FF.

Not a reunion. Just a relaunch. I think they can and should pick back up where they left off and still show respect to Chester. Personally, I am shocked it hasn't happened sooner.

I loved Taylor but are you saying Josh Freese is not up for the gig.

I'm VERY indifferent about this. It would be nice to see them performing and doing what they love again, but I would imagine it's not at all the same without Chester. Idk.

Negative. As a NIN fan I think Josh is amazing. But if those of you are saying Taylor was “just the drummer”, I totally disagree. He and Dave played off each other during shows and I think imo they became a better band when he joined.

I look at it this way. If every band quit because it didn’t have an original member, there wouldn’t be many bands out there playing. The band members do make it special, but it’s also the music that they made counts.

I saw Static-X without Wayne and they rocked. Pantera was loud without Dime and Vinnie. Megadeth only has Dave Mustaine left and they put on a great show. KISS was KISS with no Ace and Peter.

If you wanna support LP, go to the show and have fun. Good luck to Mike and all the guys.

This board has always had the strange opinion that bands should be forced to either break up or change their name if they replace the singer. Luckily the general public doesn't agree with that. If the options are for a band to either replace a member or have their music gone forever, at least live, then I say replace the member every time.

I don't like Pantera using the Pantera name without Vinnie and Dime, the founding members. They should make it clear its a tribute act. Megadeth was always a glorified solo project. Mustaine is the only one who matters. Kiss was always Gene and Paul. Some bands can replace members easier than others.

Ellefson, Nick, and Marty say otherwise. Along with everyone who witnessed that stretch of albums.
