to put things in perspective from another teams point of view, i work with a guy from Milwaukee who is a huge NBA guy. he knows his season is coming to an end tonight and he asked if we were GMs, would i accept:

Dame and Middleton
for
BI and CJ straight up

There are trades where one side wins and the other loses.

There are trades where both sides win.

This is a trade where both sides lose.

Middleton is even more made of glass than BI is and both are on the wrong side of 30

On paper it looks good

In reality, it’s not good

On paper it's trading for guys that will be 34 and 33 when they play for you. Doesn't look too good.

We need to find a way to put Trey in the starting line up, not potentially keep him as 6th man.

I’m not doing any trade with the Bucks. We want them to implode since we have their pick in a couple years.

You’re getting two players that are better than the players you’re sending out, which is why on paper it looks good.

In reality those two players are injured more than BI and CJ, and they are at the end of their career. That’s why in reality it’s not

No thanks.
Not interested in either. I want a guy under 30.

The ages are on the paper though. And Middleton is pretty clearly falling off to the point that he'll be the worst guy in that trade next year IMO.

Yep. That’s why any trade with CJ or BI going out ideally needs a 5 coming back.

If we can swing a three team trade, the Raptors apparently may move Jakob Poetel.

Nothing would make them implode faster than giving them 2 career chokers in BI and CJ
