You hope the later drafted players Rounds 5 Thru 7 can be developed … but solid players are still needed at what specific positions to contribute “ IMMEDIATELY “ ??

What Say You ?

1). Starting Quality Offensive Tackle
2). DT/ NG (Run Stuffer)
3). DE (Payton and ND 2nd are not good)
4). RB… still haven’t seen competent back up to Kamara

You could list virtually all positions to be honest

1) LT
2) backup OL
3) DL
4) S
5) RB
6) X WR

Hahahahaha ……

Solid players can be found in Free Agency but the Saintscan’t break the bank ………So they need older players in FA who can give another year or two.

Then they need to draft their replacements … NOT the Teams Strength in recent years

Pretty much. This team is nowhere close. Going to need a couple good drafts and shed salary cap to get back in the mix.

Disagree. Kendre Miller is the dude, if he can stay healthy.

LT
Weapon (WR/OT)
Safety

Don’t really think we need another DE. We already have too many - we need to be able to actually see what we have in Turned, Foskey and Young. If all 3 are bad then I agree, but we can’t know unless they play so it’d be tough to add another imo

Well we have a one year sample size, and he was hurt pretty much the entire year.

On paper, DE is not a huge need. You have Granderson, Jordan and Kpassagnon as your non question mark guys. You have Chase Young as your wildcard. You have Payton Turner and Isaiah Foskey as your "hope to get something out of them this season" guys. I honestly think Turner gets cut or traded, unless he balls out in preseason.

Cam is already declining, he will be 35 coming off ankle surgery
Chase Young has a neck
Turner has been injured 71% of his career

Granderson, Tanoh, Foskey
Bresee, Saunders, Sheppard, Boyd?

On paper this is one of the worst DLs in the league. There’s no real saving it now. Your only hope is that Turner and Foskey stay healthy and become at least 6+ sack guys, Boyd becomes a rookie wrecking ball in the interior

If healthy Turner is ahead of Foskey. Turner can actually play fairly well on those 15 or so plays I've seen him in there lol Foskey I haven't seen do anything.

The problem with todays NFL is the CBA .They dont allow hard long
practices ,limit the hitting and this leads to injuries early on in the season.
The players bodies arent being prepared for the abuse of the regular season.

My opinion and eyeballs.

Hence the reason I said “if he can stay healthy”.

Yup. A former player was talking about Streif and how guys coming in are getting about 20% of the snaps at practice that he got. Oline play is down around the league.

Really? Bresee and Granderson are undebatably quality starters. Then you've got Cam/Chase/Tanoh plus Foskey/Turner for the other end or backups. Then Saunders or Sheppard and now possibly Boyd for the other DL. Could it be better? Sure. One of the worst in the league? Calm down.
